Crawford County Commission Approves Second Assistant For Prosecuting Attorney

Crawford County commissioners on May 10 approved hiring another assistant prosecuting attorney.
Prosecuting Attorney David Smith made the request in late April.
Citing a heavy caseload and charge referrals by 12 different law enforcement agencies, Smith said hiring another assistant to join himself and Leah Avvocato was the best way forward.
Smith recommended a $50,000 salary for the assistant prosecutor.
