COVID-19 Cases, Positivity Rate Tick Up
Crawford County reported 16 new COVID-19 cases for the week ending Feb. 24.
That’s up from eight cases in the previous seven-day window.
The county’s seven-day positivity rate also increased from 4.3% to 7.8%.
That ranked 27th highest in the state. In the previous seven-days, the county had the 86th highest positivity rate.
The change in positivity rate was the the 15th highest in Missouri.
No new cases were reported Feb. 21 and just one case was reported on Feb. 23 and Feb. 24.
Overall, Crawford County has reported 2,049 cases and 30 deaths.
No counties reported greater than a 20% positivity rate for the week ending Feb. 24.
Mississippi County continues to have the highest rate at 19.2%.
Shannon County is second at 19%.
Monroe County is third at 17.1%.
State
Missouri continues to trend downward in total cases.
There were 2,947 cases reported for the week ending Feb. 24.
The daily average was 421, down from 450 in the previous seven-day window.
Twenty deaths were confirmed, bringing the total to 7,920.
Missouri’s seven-day positivity rate is 5.3%, down from 6.7%.
Hospitalizations
As of Feb. 24, there were 1,209 people hospitalized with COVID-19, down from 1,234 as of Feb. 18.
There were 238 patients in ICU, down from 257 on Feb. 18.
The St. Louis region has seen a slight drop, from 607 to 599.
ICU patients dropped from 114 to 110.
ICU bed capacity is at 15%.
