County Ranks High In Per Capita Cases, Positivity Rate
For the last two weeks, Crawford County has ranked high in per capita COVID-19 cases and seven-day positivity rate.
For the week ending March 31, the county reported 37 cases, the highest per capita.
The seven-day positivity rate was 12.2%, fifth highest in the state.
Crawford County had the second most cases per capita for the week ending April 10 and the seven-day positivity rate was 10% — fourth highest.
The county had a total of 29 cases for the week.
Crawford County has confirmed 2,208 cases to date.
Thirty-five people have died due in part to COVID-19.
Vaccine
The county continues to lag near the bottom in initiating the vaccine.
As of April 3, 15.6% of residents received at least one dose. That grew to 16.9% as of April 10.
There have been 4,053 residents who have initiated the vaccine and 2,762 completed — 11.5%.
The state average is 30.4% and 19.7% have completed vaccination.
More than 68% of those aged 65-74 have initiated the vaccine.
State Cases
Missouri reported 1,552 cases for the week, a daily average of 222.
The state has confirmed 493,530 cases and 8,515 deaths.
The seven-day positivity rate was 4.6%.
Hospitalizations
As of April 8, there were 807 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and 119 in ICU.
In the St. Louis region, 474 patients are hospitalized and ICU admissions are down to 68.
