County Confirms 22 New COVID-19 Cases

Crawford County confirmed 22 new COVID-19 cases through the week of March 17.

The county has confirmed 2,112 cases to date and the seven-day positivity rate was 7.6%.

The positivity rate is 16th highest in the state during this period.

Crawford County has administered at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to 13.4% of the population.

There have been have been 1,456 residents that have completed the regimen.

Through Saturday, 428 doses were administered over a seven-day period.

Atchison County continues to lead the state in the percentage of the population that has initiated the vaccine.

Twenty-nine percent had received at least one dose as of Saturday.

Joplin is second at 28.2%.

Boone County is third with 26.5%.

Gasconade County is sixth at 25.5%.

Missouri has administered at least one dose to 21.7% of the population.

More than 2 million shots have been given and 1.3 million people have initiated the vaccine.

More than 718,000 have completed the regimen, which amounts to 11.7% of the state.

For the week of March 11-17, there were 2,244 new cases, a daily average of 321.

The seven-day positivity rate was 4.3%.

Another 1,598 cases are probable.

Missouri has confirmed 485,736 cases with 8,370 deaths.

Hospitalizations

Hospitalizations continue to decline.

There were 897 people hospitalized with COVID-19 as of March 17.

162 patients were in ICU.

In the St. Louis region, 494 patients were hospitalized and 86 were in ICU.
