County’s Vaccination Rate Increases Nearly 2%

Crawford County’s vaccination climbed from 5.9% to 7.6 as of Feb. 27.

The county continues to rank near the bottom, but a mass vaccination event held Monday and Tuesday in Cuba could boost the rate.

Crawford County has the seventh-lowest in the state, with Johnson (7.5%), Lawrence (7.3%), Pemiscot (7%), McDonald (6.5%), Newton (6.3%) and Pulaski (4.7%) lower.

There have been 1,810 county residents that have received at least the first dose and 604 have been fully vaccinated.

The county has had 359 people vaccinated over the last week.

Atchison County has seen 22.1% of its population receive at least one dose, which is the best in the state.

Shelby (21.6%), Benton (19.8%) and Worth (19.7%) rank in the top five.

Gasconade County (18.5%) ranks seventh.

Franklin County has seen 11.4% of its population receive at least one dose.

Missouri had to cancel its mass vaccination events Feb. 15-19 due to extreme winter weather.

The state has administered a total of 1.241 million doses.

816,908 residents have been given one dose and 424,131 both doses.

13.3% of the population has received at least dose and 6.9% have received both doses.

Missouri is averaging 26,676 doses per day.
