Bourbon Cyclery Offering Bicycles, Outdoor Products For All Ages

Occupying a section of the former Paramount knit factory along Old Highway 66, Bourbon Cyclery is a new business offering bicycles and other outdoor products for all ages.

Started last year by co-owners Russell Wasson and Stephen Waldron, Bourbon Cyclery has many of the products needed to enjoy Mother Nature.

The pair are cycling enthusiasts eager to share their passion with the community.

Waldron is a member of Higher Ground Adventures, a local cycling team, and past organizer of the Cuban Gravel Crisis.

He is rebooting the event in 2022 as Meramec Gravel, which will be hosted in Bourbon this fall.

Waldron said the business was started as a way for individuals to enjoy cycling, a low-impact workout and also a great mode of transportation.

“We also plan to expand into river sports such as kayaks and canoes as well,” Waldron said.

Bourbon Cyclery offers bicycles for all ages, from toddler to adult, and for all terrains/purposes, including cruisers, city bikes, road, gravel, mountain, fat bikes and eBikes.

“We also offer skateboards, scooters, paddle boards and inflatable kayaks, along with apparel, parts and accessories,” Waldron said.

While customers can order bicycles from most big box stores or online retailers, Waldron said separates Bourbon Cyclery is the quality and care.

“The bikes offered by Bourbon Cyclery are going to be of higher quality than those available in big box stores, and they will be assembled by a knowledgeable individual who ensures brakes and shifting components are all dialed in for a fun and safe ride.”

Additionally, Waldron said, Bourbon Cyclery will “fit” the bike to the rider and ensure they understand how to use it properly and safely.

Bourbon Cyclery performs maintenance and repairs to virtually all types of bicycles.

The business is located at 127 West Pine Street, Suite 3.

Hours are generally Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The store can be contacted at 573-732-3467 to schedule a maintenance or repair appointment.

They can be visited online at 573-732-3467.
