Board Hears From Residents Served Nuisance Violations
The Bourbon City Council heard from residents who were served nuisance violations for derelict vehicles or tall grass on Tuesday.
Bourbon sent 25 notices.
Some residents addressed the violation before the meeting and were not required to attend Tuesday’s hearing.
Others had to appeal the violation.
Some residents told the board they were having financial problems and couldn’t pay to have their cars licensed.
Mayor Dave Lafferty told the residents the city wasn’t looking to “be hard on anyone.”
