Spring Sports Gear Up For Districts
As Sullivan’s spring sports teams head into the final stretches of their seasons, they hope to stay alive for a ride to state.
Track and Field will travel to Cedar Hill for the Class 4 District 5 meet on Saturday, May 11. Northwest High School will host the event, which starts at 9:30 a.m.
Baseball will start their fight for a back-to-back Class 4 District 4 title in St. Clair on Monday, May. 13. The top-seeded Eagles will either play St. Clair (4) or St. James (5) in the semifinals at 4 p.m. Salem took the second seed, followed by Owensville at third, and then Cuba at sixth.
Girls Soccer will kick off their Class 2 District 4 run on Monday, May 13, at Helias Catholic High School. The third-seeded Lady Eagles will play Blair Oaks (6) in the quarterfinal at 4 p.m. If Sullivan wins, they will play their next round the following day at 7 p.m. For the district rankings, Southern Boone clinched the top spot, Helias Catholic are the runner-ups, St. Clair took the fourth seed, Osage claimed fifth, Owensville was seventh and St. James is last.
