David L. “Levi” Weddle

David L. “Levi” Weddle, 34, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away, Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

David Leon Levi Weddle was born on July 23, 1989, in Sullivan, Missouri, to David Ely and Brenda Weddle. Levi grew up in the Bourbon area and attended Bourbon High School.

As a young man, Levi ventured to St. Louis, where he went to work at the Saint Louis Arch. His journey continued as he joined CRST, as a dedicated driver. Levi loved to learn and absorbed knowledge from every article and book he read. Even when health challenges arose, prompting him to return home, Levi faced adversity with tenacity and grace. In time, he reclaimed his independence and began to reclaim his life.

A lover of travel, he enjoyed the beauty of California beaches, and he found joy in the simplicity of being outdoors. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and riding horses. Above all, Levi’s world revolved around his family.

Levi is survived by his parents, Brenda Hunn of Bourbon, Missouri, and David Ely of Bourbon, Missouri; two brothers, Jamen Weddle of Bourbon, Missouri, and Josh Allen of Sullivan, Missouri; four sisters: Heather Mabrey of Bourbon, Missouri, Hailey McMullin and husband Matt of Bourbon, Missouri, Megan Ely of Cuba, Missouri, and Abby Ely of Rolla, Missouri; a grandfather, Richard Weddle of Electra, Texas; an aunt, Kim Urban and husband Steve of Johnstown, CO; other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his grandmother, Sheila Brokaw.

A Remembrance Memorial Service will be held 7 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.

Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
