SPD: Man Resisted Arrest, Assaulted Officer

Sullivan Police said a man resisted arrest and assaulted multiple officers while they tried to secure him in handcuffs April 16.

Kevin M. Plank, of Cuba, was charged with four counts of third-degree assault — special victim, resisting arrest, second-degree harassment and second-degree trespassing.

The probable cause statement says officers responded to the 100 block of Mervin Street. Plank was outside of a residence and stalking a victim. 

Officers arrived on scene and attempted to take Plank into custody. A struggle allegedly ensued, with four officers trying to gain compliance. 

Plank was booked into the Franklin County Jail where he is being held without bond.
