Driver Seriously Injured In Tractor Trailer Crash On Interstate 44

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a California man had serious injuries Thursday when he crashed a tractor trailer on Interstate 44.
The accident occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the 215 mile-marker.
Dongzhen Liu, 31, was traveling westbound in a 2017 Freightliner when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, jackknifed with its towed unit and impacted the ditch.
It came to a rest on the North Outer Road.
Liu was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
He was not wearing a safety device.
