Crawford County R-1 Employee On Administrative Leave Due To Investigation

A Crawford County R-1 School District employee is on paid administrative leave pending a law enforcement investigation.

Superintendent Cole Byassee issued a statement to district families.

Byassee said that a parent posted a question on social media asking "why a teacher was fired due to accusations of being a pedophile." Byassee said that no teacher has been fired, but the district has been made aware of an investigation.

No charges have been filed against the employee.

"We are required to protect the confidentiality of those involved and we want to ensure the integrity of the pending investigation," Byassee said. "At this time, I have no further information that I can share with you."

Byassee said they will continue to monitor the situation.
