Franklin County reported 42 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, raising the total to 1,642.
The number of cases in long-term care facilities has jumped to 11.
Franklin County reported 20 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, exactly six months after the virus was first detected here.
Wednesday’s cases brought the total number to 1,601.
An 87-year-old St. Clair woman is the 28th Franklin County resident to pass away due in part to COVID-19.
This is the 10th death since Aug. 15.
Franklin County reported Friday that two more people have died due in part to COVID-19.
The latest fatalities are a 75-year-old Villa Ridge man and 83-year-old Washington man.
