Two More Cases Of COVID-19, 52 Active

Franklin County reported two additional cases of COIVD-19 over the past two days and there are 52 active.

According to figures released Monday morning, 40 cases are residents in skilled nursing facilities. They are under quarantine.

Twelve cases are active in Franklin County, under quarantine and contact has been traced.

There are 46 recoveries.

Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker said the Missouri State Treasurer's Office has advised that approximately $11 million to $12 million in COVID-19 funding be allocated to Franklin County from the federal CARES Act. 

Documentation will be arriving for processing early this week with funding made available and in the county's account by May 6.

The commission, along with Franklin County Health Director Angie Hittson and regional health officials, are constantly evaluating testing utilization and best practices to protect residents. and give consumers and business owners confidence and peace of mind.
