Franklin County Reports Six COVID-19 Related Deaths

Franklin County reported six COVID-19 related deaths on Friday, bringing the total to 119.

They are identified as:

76 yo Female, Washington
90 yo Male, St. Clair
77 yo Male, Gerald
73 yo Female, St. Clair
84 yo Female, Union
56 yo Male, Labadie

Franklin County has added probable cases to the counts. Probable cases and deaths have not been confirmed by molecular tests, such as RT-PCR. They are added when antigen testing detects proteins specific to the virus and and tracked and investigated by the Franklin County Health Department.

The official probable cases count is 1,443.

There are 12 probable deaths including:

49 yo Female, St. Clair

92 yo Male, Sullivan

80 yo Female, Sullivan

77 yo Male, Sullivan

94 yo Female, Sullivan

83 yo Male, Sullivan

45 yo Male, Sullivan

89 yo Female, Sullivan

86 yo Female, Sullivan

80 yo Male, Union

79 yo Female, Villa Ridge

There were 55 new cases reported on Friday.

This brings the total to 7,928.

Active cases in long-term care facilities rose to 31, while hospitalizations dropped to 21.

The seven-day testing positivity rate is 23.1%.
