Crawford County Reports 10th Case Of COVID-19

Crawford County on Wednesday morning reported its 10th case of COVID-19, its second in the last four days.

The county had previously gone without a case since April 29 before a ninth case was reported June 13.

The Crawford County Health Department is working with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to identify any individuals that may have been in close contact with the newest patient. 

Individuals at the following locations on the dates below are at low risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms. Low-risk types of exposure will be listed as a location, date, and approximate time, with further instructions to follow CDC guidelines. In these situations, no specific individual can be pinpointed, and exposure may or may not have occurred, but everyone needs to be alert of the possibility of exposure.

Friday, June 12, 2020, after 3:00 pm
*Wal-Mart Cuba for approximately 30 minutes (wearing a mask)

Sunday, June 14, 2020, approximately 11:30 am throughout the afternoon
*Long John Silver’s- Rolla (not wearing a mask while dining-in from approximately 11:30 am to noon
*Menards-Rolla (wearing a mask)
*ALDI- Rolla (wearing a mask)
*Moto Mart 200 S Bishop Ave Rolla (wearing a mask)
*Wal-Mart-Rolla (wearing a mask)

The health department urges the public to take appropriate precautions including social distancing, limiting in-person interactions, avoiding contact with people who are sick, covering coughs and sneezes, proper hand-washing, cleaning frequently used surfaces, and staying home when sick. The Crawford County Health Department has taken and will continue to take the necessary precautions to keep our community safe and will continue to diligently monitor the COVID-19 situation as it evolves by following the CDC guidelines to protect public health and limit the spread of this infection.

We encourage anyone that suspects you have COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 to call your healthcare provider before seeking care unless it is a life-threatening emergency.
