Crawford County Courthouse Closed Beginning Monday
By order of the commission, beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 23, until further notice is given, the Crawford County Courthouse, all county offices spaces, and all other county properties will be shuttered from access by the general public, except by appointment. Meaning, if someone needs a deed, they need to call the Recorder's office first to make an appointment. Those paying court fines will need to call the Circuit Court to make an appointment, etc.
When appointments are made, you will be responsible for escorting the individual to and from your office via the front door. In order for appointments to be made, please respond to this message with a direct phone number for your office, so that we may get callers directly to you, rather than to have my office act as switchboard operators.
Citizens are asked to do as much online or phone communication and county business as possible. Collections may be still be made online, absentee ballots and ATV permits can be processed via mail, and other business may be done over electronic services instead of in-person.
