$100,000 Dollars In Love Offerings Given

The Gospel Hoot-N-Nanny benefit concert at the Living Word Church in Leasburg, MO pushed the group's total in "Love Offerings" for people in need well over the $100,000  mark.

Since the Gospel Hoot-N-Nanny was formed nearly 5 years ago by Chuck Slankard and Jerry Thurmond, it has performed 47 free concerts for people that have fallen on hard times and are in desperate need of financial help. Money is raised solely through "Love Offerings" collected at each Hoot-N-Nanny concert with every penny collected going to a person or family in need.

Of the 26 member group, Chuck Slankard, Jerry Thurmond, Glen Carter, Norma Beatty and James Grus have been with the Gospel Hoot-N-Nanny since its beginning. The Gospel Hoot-N-Nanny's mission and love for helping people would not be possible without the churches that host each concert and the loyal friends and guests that attend the concerts giving from their hearts to people they may not even know. The Gospel Hoot-N-Nanny  was awarded Sullivan's Chamber Of Commerce Public Service Award in 2017 and has been an honor to represent our community by helping people in need. “We don't offer a hand-out, we offer a hand-up to those in need.” (Several members not available for this picture.)
