Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital began construction on a $2.6 million medical office building on the hospital’s main campus. This new building will provide needed space for a total of eight medical providers to care for patients. Kadean Construction Company is managing the construction, which is slated to be complete by Oct. 1, 2012. Franklin County Sheriff deputies responded to the Daniel Boone Motel, Gray Summit, for a fire alarm sounding on Thurs., Mar. 29 at 4:30 a.m. Deputies arrived and determined that firefighters noticed a chemical odor coming from one of the rooms at the motel. A 45-year-old St. Clair man was arrested on Friday at 12:03 a.m. for investigation of alleged assault in the second degree and trespassing. According to Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke, deputies responded to the 300 block of Fair Oaks Dr., outside of St. Clair, in reference to a peace disturbance involving a machete.
