On January 30, 2012 at approximately 9:28pm; a Franklin County Deputy was working traffic enforcement on Highway 30 in the area of the Meramec River. The Deputy observed a passenger car that was displaying invalid plates, at which he attempted to stop the vehicle. On Jan. 27 St. Clair Police department requested assistance in locating a stolen Kawasaki Mule ATV 4×4 that was stolen within their venue. Franklin County Deputies and St. Clair PD were able to track the stolen ATV by a GPS Tracking devise to an address in Lonedell Mo. Tire tracks from a ATV were located at that residence taking the deputies to the vehicle that was hidden in the woods North of the residence.

Three vehicles were involved in a severe accident on Highway 185 South, just south of the Meramec State Park, Monday, shortly 12 p.m.
The accident is still under investigation and both lanes of Highway 185 South remained closed at 12:30 p.m. One motorist was flown by Air Evac Helicopter and four others were being treated by Ambulance personnel from Missouri Baptist, North Crawford and St. Clair.
Three people had to be extricated from there vehicles.

Sullivan Police are investigating a reported burglary at Orscheln Farm and Home, 124 South Service Rd. E., late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
Store employees reported to Sullivan Police that they arrived at the business at 9:04 a.m. on Sunday and found that the business had been hit in a burglary.
Sullivan Police did not disclose the items taken or details into the burglary.

On January 26, at approximately 8:30 PM, Franklin County Deputies responded to a report of an accidental shooting at River Round Access near Old Cove Road. Members of the Missouri Department of Conservation, St. Clair Ambulance, and St. Clair Fire also responded.

On Wednesday, January 25th, at approximately 10:20 p.m. officers of the Sullivan Police Department along with the Sullivan Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Virginia Street for a report of a residence on fire.

Mason Charles Sturm was the first baby delivered at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. His arrival date was January 1, 2012 at 1:08 a.m. He weighed in at 6 pounds and 12 ounces and was 20” long.
