City Moving To Pay Off City Hall

By Ryan Storz The city is about to have one less expense. Bourbon aldermen voted for an ordinance on Mar. 30 in a special session to pay off city hall. The ordinance gave approval to provide a 30-day loan payoff notice pursuant to the provisions agreed to in 2007. The city entered into a Lease Purchase Agreement with Town and Country Bank on Aug. 22, 2007. The agreement was scheduled to run for 20 years. [...]

Crawford County Conservation Agent Selected As State Agent Of The Year

A Conservation Agent has a complex job that goes far beyond enforcing Missouri’s Wildlife Code. It involves a mix of public relations, youth mentoring and, occasionally, even traditional law enforcement. 911 Ballot Proposal Fails

Bourbon Scholarship Committee Still Moving

On Nov., 13, 1962, the Bourbon Scholarship Committee announced its formation as a standing committee of the Mothers’ Club. The first committee members were: Hazel Kimberlin, Rosetta Bohnenkamp, Edith Bohnenkamp, Caroline Strayhorn, Emma Jane Dunn, Alice Bremer and Charles A. Whaley. Historic Bridge May Be Sold, Preserved
