The National Wild Turkey Federation, Huzzah Valley Resort and the Missouri Department of Conservation will sponsor a Youth Turkey Hunting Clinic at Huzzah Valley Resort on Sat., Mar. 17. The Owensville Gun Club, through their Civilian Marksmanship high power program, has announced that they will hold a M1 Garand, Springfield, military rifle shooting clinic. Sullivan High School Activities Director Sean Erwin announced today that Linda Beckett has resigned as head coach of the Lady Eagles volleyball team after just one season. Beckett, who took over for Sarah Rochleau, led the Lady Eagles to a 4-21-2 record last season. “I appreciate the hard work and dedication that Coach Beckett put in with our ladies during this season,” said Erwin. Sullivan upended Union 51-39 in the Class 4 District 9 semifinal on Wednesday night. Taylor Lucas scored 20 points to lead the Lady Eagles, who will play St. Francis Borgia in a rematch of last year’s championship game. Sullivan jumped all over Union in the first quarter. In their home finale against Union on Tuesday night, Sullivan won 68-45, thanks in most part to a dominating performance on the glass. Sullivan (16-8) had 38 rebounds, 19 on both the offensive and defensive end.
