Sullivan Cruises Over Washington

Sullivan had no problems with Washington on Friday night.
The Eagles won 54-39 in non-conference action at Washington to improve their record to 15-7. Patrick Moody scored 20 points in the win.
Sullivan led 32-28 in the early minutes of the second half, but exploded for a 14-2 run that sealed the game.

Sullivan defeated North County 57-32 on Thursday night, improving their record to 16-5 as they approach the final two weeks of the regular season.
The Lady Eagles got 19 points from Sierra Pryor and 18 points from Demi Reed.
The win marked Sullivan’s seventh in their past eight games.

Eagles Wrestling Takes Third At Owensville

Sullivan wrestlers took third place at the Owensville Tournament on Jan. 14, capping off another successful day for the Eagles program.
The previous week Sullivan finished third at the Park Hills Central Duels.
“It was a good tournament for us,” said head coach Matt Peregoy. “The athletes rose to the occasion. In the final round, we needed every point that we could get in order to finish in the top three.”

Sullivan started out slow, but they gained steam fast.
Facing a 10-point deficit against the Hillsboro Hawks late to start the fourth quarter of Monday’s opener at the St. James Tournament, Sullivan mounted a big comeback to win 54-51 and advance to the semifinals.

Lady Eagles To Play For Championship

Sullivan will play for the championship at the Hillsboro Lady Hawks Tournament on Saturday after defeating Ritenour 58-44.
It marks the second straight year Sullivan will appear in the tournament finale. They cruised to an easy victory over Ritenour in the championship game last season.
The two teams were tied after the end of the first quarter on Thursday, but Sullivan pulled away from that point.

Wrestling Tops Warrenton

Sullivan’s wrestling team defeated Warrenton 48-33 in a dual meet on Tuesday night at SHS.
The Eagles are 11-4 in dual meets this season.
On Monday, Sullivan beat Brentwood and Missouri Military Academy in a tri-meet. The Eagles nipped Brentwood 35-33 and dominated MMA 66-12.
Sullivan is scheduled to be at Maplewood for a tri-meet, also against John Burroughs. The busy week continues on Saturday in Buffalo with the “Pin to Win” tournament.

Eagles Register Win Over Potosi

Sullivan won 71-29 over winless Potosi on Tuesday night. The boys have won two straight and travel to Seckman on Friday.
The two teams were tied 9-9 in the first quarter, but Sullivan ended up pulling away. They led by more than 30 after three quarters, and the fourth quarter was played with a running clock.
Potosi struggled to keep up with Sullivan’s full-court press. The Eagles never relented until the fourth quarter.

Behind 12 points from Taylor Lucas, Sullivan (7-2) won its sixth straight game, 36-22, over Waynesville in the team’s first game of the Rolla Lady Bulldogs Invitational last Wednesday.
Sullivan, out of action since Dec. 19, avenged an early December loss to Waynesville where they lost by just four points.
The Lady Eagles were grouped in the maroon pool of the tournament along with Hickman, which defeated Sullivan in the championship game last season.

Eagles Fall In Double Overtime

Sullivan took No. 1 seed Blair Oaks to double overtime on Friday night in the semifinals of the St. James Tournament, but the Falcons prevailed in the end.
Blair Oaks had two buzzer-beating shots at the end of regulation and the first overtime, then outscored the Eagles 16-6 in the second overtime.
Sullivan will play for third place tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. against Salem. The loss snapped the Eagles’ five-game winning streak.

Sullivan is flying high.  
The Lady Eagles won 38-26 over St. James on Thursday night, the team’s 11th victory in their last 13 games. They have won three games in a row, including a 46-16 blowout over Seckman on Tuesday.
The hot streak comes at a good time for the Lady Eagles. They enter the Hillsboro Tournament as the No. 1 seed next week. Sullivan won the championship there last season.
