Burglary Reported At Orscheln Farm And Home

Sullivan Police are investigating a reported burglary at Orscheln Farm and Home, 124 South Service Rd. E., late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
Store employees reported to Sullivan Police that they arrived at the business at 9:04 a.m. on Sunday and found that the business had been hit in a burglary.
Sullivan Police did not disclose the items taken or details into the burglary.

Coon Hunters Accident Near Old Cove Road

On January 26, at approximately 8:30 PM, Franklin County Deputies responded to a report of an accidental shooting at River Round Access near Old Cove Road. Members of the Missouri Department of Conservation, St. Clair Ambulance, and St. Clair Fire also responded.

On Wednesday, January 25th, at approximately 10:20 p.m. officers of the Sullivan Police Department along with the Sullivan Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Virginia Street for a report of a residence on fire.

Breaking: North Loop Rd. Project Cancelled

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Tuesday morning , that the scheduled work to relocate the Interstate 44/North Service Rd. at Highway AF in Sullivan has been canceled. Necessary funding for this cost-share project is currently not available. Construction was scheduled to begin this summer. The estimated cost for this project was $5.7 million.

On January 18, 2012, at approximately 1:40 AM, Franklin County Deputies responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Opeechee Beach Road outside Pacific in reference to a gunshot wound. Three Black Males Sought In Sullivan Home Invasion

Three black males are being sought in a Sullivan home invasion in which a Sullivan woman was held at gunpoint.
According to Sullivan Police they were called to 200 block of Virginia St., early Friday morning at 3:59 a.m., for a reported home invasion in which a woman, with a three-year-old child  inside the residence, was held at gunpoint by three black males.

On Jan. 7, Franklin County Deputies responded to the area of Friendship Park near Highway PP and Plum Ford Road in St. Clair in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, three suspects fled the scene, two on foot and one in a vehicle.

A 43-year-old Pacific man was fatally injured early Saturday morning after he was struck by a vehicle on the North Outer Rd., one mile west of Sullivan, near Unique PowerSports.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol the accident occurred at 3:15 a.m. when Michael Heigl, 21, Sullivan, operating an eastbound 1999 Jeep Cherokee, struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway, identified as Scott I. Lamar, 43, Pacific.

Crawford County Treasurer Jessica Easler resigned from her position effective January 17.
She turned in her letter of resignation to the county commission on Tuesday afternoon.
Easler has been in office since 2007 and just completed the first year of her second term. Jenny Farr was appointed as Deputy Treasurer, pursuant to RSMO 54.033. By making an interim appointment, Easler said she can help train Farr before leaving her position.

According to MFC Industrial Ltd., a global commodity supply chain company,  they have acquired, along with a partner the former Pea Ridge Iron Ore Mine.
