Mildred ‘Sis’ Wisdom

Services for Mildred “Sis” Wisdom, age 93, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Sullivan, were conducted 1 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with interment in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.

Mildred passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Mildred, “Sis” as she was known, was born on September 5, 1923 to Charles Elmer Charboneau and Lillian Mae Hulsey Charboneau in St. Clair, MO. She grew up and attended St. Clair schools. On June 28, 1970, Sis was united in marriage to Louie Wisdom in Steelville and he preceded her in death in 1996. Together, they raised their family in Baden, MO. Sis was employed by Burkhardt Textiles for many years. She enjoyed fishing, going for rides in the country, the casino and watching TV. She was loved by her family and they will missed her very much.

Mrs. Wisdom is survived by four children, Ronald (Angie) Strothman of San Antonio, TX, Glen (Ronnie) Strothman of Imperial, MO, Evelyn Eakins of St. Louis, MO, and Donna Wisdom of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Eakins, Corrinne O’ Brien, Donnie and Jessica Hale; two great-grandchildren, Trent Smock and Paul Hale; her little buddy Sammie; nieces, nephews, and a friend to many.

Sis was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lillian (Hulsey) Charboneau; her husband Louie E. Wisdom; one son Kenneth Strothman; her son in-law Gary Eakins; and her brother; Kenneth Charboneau.

Memorials to Visiting Nurses Association through SSM De Paul Hospital are appreciated.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan and Bourbon.
