Sullivan Man Facing Voyeurism Charges

A 25-year-old Sullivan man faces a number of charges including Voyeurism, the sexual interest in or practice of spying on people engaged in intimate behaviors, after his arrest from the Sullivan Wal-Mart, Tuesday, February 5. Charges are now in the hands of the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.

Sullivan Police were called to Wal-Mart, 350 Park Ridge Dr., at 4:37 p.m., for a report of a male in the female restroom with a cell phone.

The male allegedly video taped unsuspecting ladies using the restroom from a separate stall in which he occupied.

The incident alleges that the suspect used his camera to video record others and then reportedly used the camera on the phone to record himself.

According to Sullivan Police the male suspect was apprehended and his cell phone taken into evidence. He was placed into custody and held in the Sullivan Jail.

Charges including voyeurism and invasion of privacy are just two of the suspected charges that may come down from the incident.
