Sullivan EEZ Approved By State

The City of Sullivan has just received notice that the Sullivan Enhanced Enterprise Zone has been approved.

The EEZ will bring a strong economic tool to the city to help land or expand local manufacturing operations.

Sullivan Mayor Thomas D. Leasor said Monday, February 25, “Approval of the Enhanced Enterprise Zone for the City of Sullivan is an outstanding incentive for future economic development for the entire Sullivan area. This cooperative effort from taxing entities in the area such as the Sullivan Fire Protection District, Sullivan School District, Franklin County, Miramiguoa Village, and Oak Grove Village demonstrates how government groups can work together to accomplish great things, with the anticipation of greater things to come. The assistance of Franklin County, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, and support from Missouri State Representative Dave Hinson is also appreciated.”
