Sullivan City And School Board Have Races For April Election

Both the City of Sullivan and Sullivan School District will have races for the general election on April 2, as filing concluded Tues., Jan.15.
In the City of Sullivan, running unopposed with be incumbents Thomas Leasor, Mayor; David Smith, Municipal Judge; Mike Ryan Jr., Alderman Ward One; and Dennis Watz, Alderman Ward Three.
Challenges for the office in the city will be viewed in the race for City Collector and Alderman Ward Two.
In the race for City Collector, Judy McPherson, incumbent, will be challenged by Staci Pfeuffer and Joe Stillson. This is the second time Pfeuffer will run against McPherson in as many years.
The Alderman Ward Two race will put incumbent Craig Kase against candidate Sandra K. Davidson.
All terms in the April 2, election are for two years.
Davidson will also seek an office in the Sullivan School District as she will challenge incumbents Randy Stack and Robby Berti. Two will be elected to three-year terms.
