A 19-year-old Sullivan woman has been arrested in connection with an accident on East Vine Street, Monday, January 21, at 1:10 p.m.
According to Sullivan Police the accident occurred when Tory L. Morgan, operating an eastbound 1997 Geo, blacked out at the wheel and struck a utility pole.
Morgan received minor injuries and a child passenger sustained moderate injuries as the child was allegedly not properly restrained.
After being treated at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Morgan was arrested by Sullivan Police on a Sullivan warrant for, “Gas-n-Go,” stealing fuel.
Charges against Morgan from the accident are pending and include alleged driving while intoxicated-drugs, failure to maintain right half of the roadway and endangering the welfare of a child.
The additional charges are being presented to Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Robert Parks, with warrants pending.
