On 01-30-13 deputies responded to the 1000 block of Hendricks Rd. in reference to subjects observed in the process of stealing a vehicle. The suspects fled prior to arrival of the deputies however a witness obtained a license number and took a photo of the suspect’s vehicle before it left.
The license was issued to an individual in Jefferson County. Franklin County Deputies and troopers who were assisting met with Jefferson County Deputies. Investigators made contact with an adult at a residence in Jefferson County who stated that the license belonged to her son but believed it was in the possession of another individual.
Information was determined that this subject may be at Jo Mamma’s bar in Jefferson County. Investigators responded to the bar where they observed the suspect vehicle that was believed to be involved in the Franklin County theft. The vehicle was parked in the lot of Jo Mamma’s Bar.
It was determined that this vehicle had been stolen out of St. Louis County. During further investigation, a Jefferson County Deputy located the subject hiding in the attic of a shed near the Bar. He was taken in to custody for investigation of various theft charges. The subject was transported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office where he later admitted to the thefts. He is identified as a white male, age 36 from Grubville.
