Vandals Strike Several Windows At Area Businesses, Two Arrested

Sullivan Police arrested two male subjects alleged to have damaged a number of windows in area businesses along with a window in a vehicle early Saturday morning.

According to Sullivan Police the businesses began calling authorities at 7:14 a.m. when Valvoline Express, South Service Rd., West, notified police that their front glass window was busted out.

This report was soon followed by the Meramec Community Mission, 200 West Main, who called police at 7:39 a.m. and reported their front window was busted out.

The third report came at 10:45 a.m. when Meramec Group, 338 Ramsey Dr., reported several windows busted out of the facility.

The final report was received at 1:55 p.m. when a resident in the 30 block of East Vine St., reported that a window was busted out of their vehicle.

Sullivan Police began searching the area for possible suspect and determined that the windows had been shot out by marbles.

Two suspects were questioned and arrested in connection with the vandalism. Michael S. Krygiel, 18, and Matt Tyree, 24, were both issued court summons in Sullivan City Court for alleged property damage.
