Sullivan, St. Clair Dominate FRC Selections

Sullivan and St. Clair were the two most dominant football teams in the Four Rivers Conference this season, so it’s no surprise that they dominated the All-Conference selections.

The two teams had a combined 26 of 30 first team selections and had all three of the league’s individual awards.

Eagles head coach Patrick Burke was voted as Coach of the Year after guiding Sullivan to its first conference championship since 1999.

St. Clair quarterback Kyle Juergens was named the FRC Offensive Player of the Year and teammate Adam Brott was chosen as FRC Defensive Player of the Year.

The Bulldogs had 14 first team selections while Sullivan had 12.

Juergens was the unanimous choice as first team quarterback.

Sullivan’s Justin Biermann was a first team running back, along with St. Clair’s Rickey Grivetti.

Eagles wide receiver Adam Weiland was a first team selection. He was joined by St. James’ Jake Ford, Union’s Logan Bellamy and St. Clair’s Evan Powell.

Sullivan tight end Seth Mesey was named first team.

Three of Sullivan’s offensive lineman were named first team, including Dalton Turner, Gus Hecht and Jeremy Stumpe.

They were joined by St. Clair’s Jake Yerkey and Jake Oermann.


Mesey was a unanimous choice as defensive lineman. Teammate Mitch Paneitz was also a first team selection. They were joined by Yerkey and teammate Josh Haynes, and Pacific’s Jeffrey Hinkle.

Turner was a first team linebacker, along with St. Clair’s Ben Suntrup and Josh Martin and Union’s Cody Pace.

Biermann was a first team defensive back along with St. Clair’s Brott, Juergens and Grivetti.

Special Teams

Jake Lochner was a unanimous choice as first team kicker. Brott was selected as first team punter and Biermann was first team returner.

Second Team

Sullivan quarterback Adam Tiefenbrunn was a second team selection. He was joined on offense by running back Clayton Mayer and offensive lineman Kishan Patel.

Mayer was also selected as a second team linebacker. Weiland was chosen as a second team defensive back.

Honorable Mentions

Eagles defensive lineman JC Beckett was an honorable mention, along with Caden Weigl at linebacker and David Stack at defensive back.
