Sullivan Man Arrested For Assault In Stabbing Incident

Kevin D. Parker, 38, Sullivan, was arrested and charged in Franklin County Circuit Court with Second Degree Domestic Assault after Parker was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend.
The incident began on Wed., Nov. 7 when, at 12:44 p.m., Sullivan Police responded to the Family Motor Inn, 209 North Service Rd., Sullivan, for a report of a stabbing victim.
Officers arrived at the residence and determined that a domestic disturbance had occurred during the night of Tues., Nov. 6, between Parker and his girlfriend.
At 9 a.m. on Wednesday the couple left the Family Motor Inn and walked to the Super 8 Motel, 601 North Service Rd. West,  where officers located them.
Parker was found to have been stabbed in the arm by his 40-year-old girlfriend. The woman stated that she stabbed Parker in self defense during a physical altercation.
Parker refused any medical treatment for his non-life-threatening injury.
On Thursday the warrant charging Parker with the single count of Domestic Assault in the Second Degree was issued by the Franklin County Circuit Court along with a $5,000 bond.
