Deputies Find Stolen Vehicle in Bourbeuse River

On November 28, at approximately 2:23 PM, Franklin County deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in the Bourbeuse river off Shawneetown Ford Road.  It was reported that a subject from the area was eating lunch along the river bank when he observed the vehicle under water due to the low water level.

Deputies determined that the vehicle was stolen from the City of Washington in 2004.  The vehicle was a white 1997 Ford Ranger.  It appeared that the vehicle had been submerged for some time.  Further investigation is being conducted.
