The Sullivan School Board did not take any action on a petition to retire the late Daniel Schatz’s No. 22 football jersey on Monday night.

The district does plan to recognize the 2008 team and hang a banner in their honor at a game to be determined this season. The board would like to speak with Schatz’s family about presenting Daniel’s jersey to them during this ceremony.

There were between 25 and 30 former and present students at the meeting. The petition has garnered over 600 signatures.
