One Fatally Injured In Accident

A Meta woman received fatal injuries in a three-vehicle accident in Maries County on July 30.
It was the 14th fatality for Troop I in 2010.
Amy Luetkemeyer, 27, was traveling northbound on Route 133, at approximately 2:10 p.m., when she crossed the centerline and sideswiped a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Kimberly D. Peters, 36, Meta. Luetkemeyer, traveling in a 2007 Mazda 6, then traveled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and was struck in the side by a 1998 Dodge Ram driven by Robert F. Peters, 31, Meta.
Luetkemeyer was pronounced dead at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.
The Luetkemeyer vehicle and the Peters vehicle both received total damage. The Pontiac driven by Kimberly Peters was driven from the scene and received minor damage.
Luetkemeyer and Kimberly Peters were both wearing safety devices. Robert Peters was not.
