A large scale search is underway near Highway J and Highway C in Bourbon for a wanted suspect in connection with alleged vehicle thefts and an alleged armed assault recently that occurred in Sullivan.

Authorities have not released the suspects name or description, however it is possible that he is armed and considered dangerous.

The search reportedly began around 7 a.m. Friday morning following an incident near Bourbon.

Members of the Missouri Highway Patrol, Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Bourbon and Sullivan Police are involved in the search.

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Anyone who observes a suspicious white male, early to mid 30’s in this area is asked to call their local law enforcement agency immediately.

The subject is described as 5′10″, between 140-150 pounds with dark hair, dark eyes and a slender build.
