Mabel Pauline (Riske) Hardecke, 93, the daughter of Herman and Louise (Peters) Riske, was born on March 27, 1917, in Sullivan, MO. She passed away on July 31, 2010.
On December 28, 1940, Mabel was married to Warren Hardecke, also of Sullivan. They celebrated 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2007.
She was a member of the Frisco Sewing Club for 55 years, the Hillcrest Garden Club for 35 years, and the retired teamsters.
Mabel accepted Christ as her Savior in 1950 and, from that time, she served the Lord faithfully. She was a charter member of the Bible Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. Her life was a living testimony of her belief in Christ.
She was admired and respected by all who had the pleasure to know her, and she will be missed by each of those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by daughter, Sharon Hardecke of Springfield, MO; son, Howard Hardecke and wife, Sherrie, of Springfield, MO; daughter, Marilyn O’Dell and husband, Mack, of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren, Rob O’Dell and wife, Jan, of Strafford, Mark O’Dell and wife, Adele, of Springfield, MO, Clinton Hardecke and wife, Angela, of Cottage Grove, MN, and Dustin Hardecke of Woodbury, MN; three great-grandchildren, Jerrin O’Dell, Noah and Wyatt Hardecke; stepgreat-grandchildren, Lacie and Kacie McGill; and one sister, Lillian Ridenhour of Farmington, MO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Evelyn Mesger of Sullivan.
Visitation was held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
Funeral services were conducted for Mabel Hardecke at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO, with the Reverend Larry Hargus officiating. Burial was in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.
