Gladys Mae Woolsey of Villa Ridge, MO passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the age of 71 years.
Mrs. Woolsey was born in New Madrid County near Conrad, MO on January 28, 1939 to John Wesley and Runnie Lee (Huddleston). On June 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to William N. Woolsey and to this marriage three daughters were born.
Gladys was self-employed for a time in an antique business and raising show dogs. She enjoyed traveling and loved life. Gladys was fond of music and dancing, but her main treasure were her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution and was baptized at a young age.
She is survived by her husband, William, of the family home; three daughters, Kim Bufford of Villa Ridge, MO, Kathy Altholz of Allons, TN, and Brenda Weatherford of Queens Creek, AZ; one brother, Johnnie Rankins and wife, Rosella, of Eureka, MO; three sisters, Ruth Ann Powers of Kansas City, MO, Colleen Jewell of the state of South Carolina and Alma Chavers of Labadie, MO; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Gladys Woolsey was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 and on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 12 noon until time of services at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Sullivan.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Sullivan with Pastor Larry Curtis officiating. Interment was in Beaver Creek Cemetery, Rolla, MO.
