Eldon S. Wymer of Bourbon, MO passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the age of 72 years.
Mr. Wymer was born on September 24, 1937 in Bourbon, MO to Luther C. and Alice Mae (Payne) Wymer. He was a lifelong resident of Bourbon and on December 7, 1963 was married to Wilma L. Neff and to this marriage a daughter was born.
Eldon worked at a variety of jobs which included Paramount Headwear Company, Meramec Mining and, lastly, worked at the sawmill in Bourbon.
He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Tech Sergeant.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Pratt and husband, Roy, of Bourbon; one brother, Clifford Wymer and wife, Shirley, of Bourbon; a sister, Ava Rohrer of Sullivan; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Viola Wymer; nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by two brothers, Ovie and Calvin Eugene Wymer, and a sister, Dorothy Ivie.
Visitation for Mr. Eldon Wymer was held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Eaton Chapel in Bourbon, MO.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 from the Eaton Chapel in Bourbon, with Mr. Earl Simmerly officiating. Interment, with full military honors, was in the Bourbon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Legion of Bourbon.
