Loretta grew up in the Overland, MO area and graduated from Northwest High School in House Springs, MO, in 1964. She later lived many years in the Texas County area.
Loretta married Jimmy Selby in the fall of 1964 and to this union two sons were born, Darrell and Kevin.
Loretta had many interests— caring for animals, riding horses, fishing, camping or just sitting outside on the back porch. She was a wonderful cook and many people were the lucky recipients of her meals or special baked goods.
Loretta was a talented artist. During the school year of 1964, she won first place in the St. Louis Schools Art Show. She also enjoyed doing handwork such as crocheting and sewing.
Loretta accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was young, during a week youth camp at Texas County Baptist Camp.
Loretta loved her family. Time spent with them was very precious to her and she enjoyed each minute.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Rauscher; a great nephew, Little Andrew; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Selby.
Services were held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Evans Funeral Home in Houston, MO, with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Burial was in the Cavaness Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Chris Kelly, Aaron Selby, Tyler Selby, Bill Ramsey, Steven Blumenkemper and Bradley Blumenkemper.
