Four players from Sullivan’s Post 18 Junior Legion Team will represent the south division in the annual Ninth District All-Star Game on July 31 at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O’Fallon.
Catcher Matt Jones will start behind the plate for the south.
Jones hit .473 during the 2010 season, leading the team in hits (35) singles (24), doubles (11) and RBIs (24). Jones also led the team in ERA (2.56) and finished with a 4-2 record.
Seth Mesey will represent Sullivan on the mound.
He went 5-2 this summer with a 4.17 ERA and led the team in strikeouts with 40.
Shortstop Austin Coleman and outfielder J.T. Waller will be on the second team.
Coleman hit .321 with four doubles, a triple and 15 RBIs in 94 plate appearances this season.
Waller batted .340 and had seven doubles and 11 RBIs.
