The Sullivan Fair Board is seeking public assistance in determining who was selling counterfeit wristbands Saturday on the fairgrounds.
“Our fair office received a phone call that an individual was selling counterfeit wristbands in the fairgrounds parking lot during the fair,” said James Bartle, fair board president. “We work hard every year to make sure the fair makes enough funds to continue and an alleged individual doing this during our fair not only steals from the fair board but the public as well, as it determines what events we are able to fund for the following year.”
The fair board is requesting that anyone with information as to who was selling these wristbands to call 573-468-3314. All information will be kept confidential and will be forwarded to Sullivan police.
“In years past, we had people counterfeiting tickets and we made adjustments in that area so that they could not be easily counterfeited,” said Bartle. “This situation will also be addressed for the 2011 fair set for June 22 through June 25.”

” an alleged individual doing this during our fair . . . ”

Do you mean that he was alleged to be an individual? Since “alleged” is one of your favorite words, please learn to use it properly in a sentence.
