Edna M. Plank of Sullivan, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the age of 79 years.
Edna was born on May 26, 1931 in St. Louis, MO and was later adopted by the late Roy Lee and Julia Mae Rumfelt. On November 15, 1951, she was united in marriage to William Clarence Plank at Salem, AR and six children were born to their union. Mr. Plank preceded Edna in death. Mrs. Plank later married her very special friend, James Flock.
Edna moved to Sullivan in 1972 and enjoyed flower gardening and crocheting. She loved family get-togethers and made it her passion to make each event memorable.
She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, James Flock, of the family home; three sons, Dennis Plank and wife, Gloria, of Houston, TX, Frank Plank of Bonne Terre, MO, and Richard Plank and wife, Jessica, of Nixa, MO; three daughters, Evelyn Turnbough and husband, Delbert, of Steelville, MO, Beverly Lunsford and husband, Dale, Sr., of Steelville, and Connie Negretti of Sullivan, MO; one brother, Harvey Freeman of Sullivan, MO; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Clarence Plank, Edna was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Freeman; two sisters, Bonnie Bunton and Dorothy Freeman; a grandson, Dale Lunsford, Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Aryen Lunsford.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
Funeral services for Edna Plank were conducted at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, with Michael Delashmit officiating. Burial was in the Carr Masonic Cemetery in Cooks Station, MO.
