Kenneth R. Lechten of Sullivan, MO passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the age of 66 years.
Mr. Lechten was born on December 27, 1943 in Sullivan, MO to James F. and Beulah (Stroup) Lechten. He was married to Mary Beyreis and to this marriage a daughter, Patty, was born.
He was a lifelong resident of the Sullivan area and was a longtime employee of the Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO. He was employed as an assembler and later retired from there. At home, he raised cattle and enjoyed gardening.
He was active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW. Mr. Lechten also helped the Kiwanis Club erect flags on every holiday and special events in Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the family home; one daughter, Patty Lechten and husband, Mike O’Connor, of Ontario, Canada; his mother, Beulah Lechten of Sullivan, MO; one brother, James Lechten and wife, Rosemary, of Bourbon, MO; a grandson, Ryan; other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Kenneth Lechten was held from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Funeral services were held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO, with Pastor Charles Idleman officiating. Interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
