On Wed., June 23 at approximately 4:45 AM., Deputies responded to a residence in Lake Arrowhead in reference to a victim of a fatal gunshot wound.  Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victim, Charles Vanhooser, a white male, age 32 from that residence, was in a room with his 11-year old son and his son’s friend.  Ms. Vanhooser reported that her son came in her room stating that a gun went off in the room.  Ms. Vanhooser went in to the room and found her husband on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.  The weapon was a 38 Cal., revolver.  It is not known at this time how the weapon discharged.  Further investigation is being conducted at this time.
