On May 25, at approximately 3:00 PM., Deputies responded to 793 Winters Drive located off of Route V for a subject pinned under a tractor.

Upon arrival, Deputies located a white male trapped under a tractor (tricycle Alice Chambers) which was flipped over backwards. The victim was identified as Robert J. Stahlman age 72 of that address.  Union Ambulance pronounced him dead at the scene.

It appeared Mr. Stahlman was traveling up a hill and had his front bucket on the tractor lifted and was hauling two pieces of large concrete. It is believed the weight of the concrete shifted and caused the tractor to flip. There were no witnesses to the accident.

A neighbor advised that he heard a load noise in the field and went to Mr. Stahlman’s residence to asked his wife where Robert was at. The neighbor then walked down the hill and located the flipped tractor and Mr. Stahlman pinned underneath it.
