7TH AND 8TH GRADE SECOND PLACE team from Strain-Japan R-16.

Strain-Japan R-16 recently hosted a Scholar Bowl with participants from Franklin County R-II, St. Anthony’s, and the 7th Day Adventist School in Bourbon. Congratulations go to the students from Franklin County R-II who won first place gold medals in both the fifth-sixth grade division and the seventh-eighth grade division.  St. Anthony’s players earned second place silver medals at the fifth-sixth grade level; Strain-Japan R-16 students took home silver medals for second place at the seventh-eighth grade level.
The competition was very enjoyable to watch.  It was obvious that all the participants have learned a great deal during their elementary school careers.
