A Bourbon woman was not injured in a single vehicle accident on Highway N, five miles south of Bourbon Monday, May 17, shortly after 12 p.m.
Details on the accident were not available from the Highway Patrol but the driver ran off the left side of the roadway and into a creek embankment. She was able to escape the vehicle and contacted local law enforcement after walking a short distance to obtain cell phone service.
Bourbon Fire, North Crawford County Ambulance and Brad’s Towing were called to the accident scene, which was just a mile from Blue Springs.
