Troop I Reports Two Fatalities

Two fatalities occurred in Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol last week. The unrelated accidents are the fifth and sixth fatalities of the year.
The first accident happened on Mon., Mar. 29 at approximately 7:50 p.m. in Laclede County, 13 miles north of Lebanon on Route N.
Bruce Lamberton, 64, Lebanon, was driving a 1984 Chevrolet Blazer when he drove off the right side of the road, overturned and struck a bridge. The vehicle came to a rest in the water.
Lamberton was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
The second fatality occurred in Phelps County on Tues., Mar. 30.
Timothy Quick, 28, St. James, was driving eastbound on Interstate 44 at the 194 mile marker when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a sign, crossed over the South Outer Road and overturned several times.
Quick was ejected from the vehicle, a 2005 Ford.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a safety device.
